Magnetic Notepad

I needed a quick teacher gift
and swiped this idea from
a manufactured gift given to me
(BTW, thank you again Jennifer, if you happen to look.)
The gift I received was so adorable
and clever that I thought surely it
can be reproduced with some
awesome Stampin' Up! product!
And Yep!  I just love how it turned out!

The measurements of your cover are going to vary
depending on the size of your notepad.
Calculate measurements for the BACK
(this is the area which holds the pad and pen.)
Then calculate how large you want the seam areas
(in this case, I went with 1/2".)
And finally decide how much of the cover
you want to cross over the front.
When you put these all together,
you'll know exactly how long your paper
or card stock needs to be cut.

For the magnetic strip,
Simply make it the width of the front covers.
It goes together so nicely and
is so lovely to give as a gift!
So adorable!
Blessings.
