I seriously believe the Mad Hatter was quite "mad"
because he rarely had enough COCOA to go along with his tea!
I love love love how this card turned out!
I spotted the Hatter image a few months ago
when I decided to go on a cocoa image hunt
just after the amazingly talented Amy Tsuruta
kindly asked me and Shona Chambers
to be the "Co-Cocoa & Tea Ambassadors" for the
TEA & COCOA parts of the upcoming
Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop
found on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog
First of all, the card I wanted to make with this
extremely fun image of the Mad Hatter
was burned into my mind
and I simply hadn't taken the time to put
brain to paper because the wording was tripping me up.
I knew I wanted my card to give the impression
that the Mad Hatter was "mad" simply because
he preferred COCOA over TEA, hehehe.
But I figured I would have to come up with my own phrase
on the computer or somehow hand write it
and quite frankly, ain't no one got time for that!
Then wouldn't you know it...
to the rescue!!!
I love SCS Daily Challenges and
yesterday's Try a New Technique Challenge
encourages us to "cut and piece words"
from different stamp sets/images and add them to our card.
PERFECT! Just what I needed for my
Mad Hatter Cocoa Card
to say exactly what I wanted it to say!
Here's the rundown of my images...
Mad Hatter... Deep Red Cling Stamps
TEA... Savoir Faire by See D's
GIVE... Thankful Forest Friends by Stampin' Up!
ME... Honeycomb Hello by Stampin' Up!
COCOA... Winnie's Warm Wishes by SnSS
? and ! marks... Epic Alphabet by Stampin' Up!
Pretty cool, huh?!
It might take some searching to find all the words
you need to make up just the thing you want to say
but I really like this technique
and now that I've tried it, I will be more aware of
what words are in what stamp sets so that
I can make any of my cards
say exactly what I want them to say!
Oh just think of the thinks!!!
Thanks for visiting!
And thank you again and again, Amy,
