Hugs and Kisses Box Tutorial

Welcome to
For 2016, one thing I would like to resolve
is to SHARE more with the creative peeps in the world.
I love to share (eh hem... I'm a SU! demonstrator, sooooo)
and I love to hear from you when you've enjoyed
finding a really cool idea on my site.
I truly believe our abilities come from God
and when you let me know you've found something
creative and inspiring here at Always Stampin',
then I have yet another reason to give glory to my Father.
And I so love doing that!

A few days ago, I posted a video to my YouTube channel,
on how to create the
The box in the video features the super fun VW Bug
found in the "Beautiful Ride" stamp set by SU!.

Here's the video in case you haven't had
a chance to check it out...

I created the box in the video with measurements
compatible to create FOUR boxes
from just one sheet of card stock measuring 8-1/2" x 11".

Today I've added a photographed tutorial
which shows you how to create the
with just a bit bigger dimensions
so that it is easier to close the box without
having to have the VW Bug or any other image
attached to the front of it.
I prefer the following measurements
but as I stated earlier,
FOUR boxes from just one sheet of card stock
is always a nice little plus when
creating bulk number of gifts such as

Let's check out the larger measurements.
Are you ready to get started?

Above you see what all will be needed to create the
shown in the photos above.

Begin with a piece of Designer Series Paper OR
card stock measuring 4-1/5" x 5"

(THAT measurement is the only thing different
from the box created in the video... some score areas
will be a bit different due to this measurement
but not really super noticeable.
So it is still very beneficial to look at this tutorial
as well as watch the video. You'll get the idea.)

With the 5" edge to the TOP of the trimmer,
score at 1/2", 1-1/2", 3-1/2", and 4-1/2"
(shown above).

Quarter turn the paper and score at
1/2", 1-1/2", 2-1/2", and 3-1/2".
How's THAT for easy to remember?!

Then with the 1/2" scored line to the LEFT,
scoot the card stock so that it is at 3"
and trim from the innermost scored lines
creating little "slits" in the paper
(see below).

Next trim away all four corners as shown in the photo above.

Create tiny "slits" in the small tabs
as shown in the photo above.

Trim away angled "slivers" of each tab edge
as shown in the photo above.

Add adhesive to all four small tabs
(as shown above).

Connect two tabs at a time, creating the box
(as shown above and then below).

THAT is how to create the
Decorate and embellish as desired.

See how I decorated the box shown
in this post with the continued tutorial below.

Wrap the box with Washi Tape.
I'm using "It's My Party" Washi Tape
(#140556 from the Occasions Catalog).

Stamp "hugs and kisses" image from
the stamp set "Beautiful Ride"
(#140738 from the Occasions Catalog)
using Mint Macaron Classic Ink.

Punch the hugs and kisses image using the
Word Window Punch

Punch a super cute little heart using the
Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack

Add to the heart a Mint Macaron enamel dot
from the "It's My Party" collection
(#140554 from the Occasions Catalog).

Use Dimensionals (#104430) to adhere
created embellishments to the box.

Thank you so much for visiting!
I'd love to hear how much you enjoyed this tutorial!
Better yet, I'd love to see what YOU
